The Commercial Lines Account Executive will be expected to provide impeccable service to our accounts, including annual renewals, cross-sell, up-sell, daily service needs, and developing strong relationships with Encharter customers and our insurance company partners.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Quote all commercial lines coverages for new and existing customers.
- Quote and rewrite policies as requested or recommended.
- Review coverages on existing accounts and recommend coverage changes when appropriate.
- Provide prompt, accurate and courteous service at all times.
- Maintain product knowledge for all lines of business and products written.
- Other responsibilities may be assigned.
Requirements & Experience:
- Massachusetts Property and Casualty Producer License
- A minimum of two years of Commercial Lines account management experience
- Thorough knowledge of all Commercial Lines products, including servicing and placing Excess & Surplus lines business
- Understanding of commercial insurance markets, products, and marketing practices
- Excellent attention to detail and vigilant documentation of customer interactions
- AMS360 experience a plus
- Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks with varying time constraints.

Senior Accountant - Financial Reporting
Position Overview:
Plymouth Rock is looking to hire a senior level accounting professional with a proven track record of automating processes and building efficiencies. This person will report to the company’s Financial Reporting Manager and will be responsible for the preparation and distribution of internal and external financial statements in compliance with GAAP. Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Prepare complex financial reports utilizing a broad knowledge of accounting policies and procedures.
- Oversee functions of the monthly, quarterly and annual book close cycles, monitoring timely completion and escalating issues for resolution. Accurately and efficiently performs accounting activities of increasing complexity.
- Prepare annual audited financial statements in compliance with GAAP, liaising with the independent auditor to ensure that they are issued in a timely manner.
- Prepare and/or input general ledger entries by utilizing set procedures and various accounting systems.
- Develop and maintain group expense allocations using various financial systems, staying current with operational trends and reviewing financial outputs for accuracy.
- Research and resolve complex reconciling issues/discrepancies and take preventative measures.
- Prepare monthly internal reporting exhibits, collaborating with the Financial Planning & Analysis teams of Plymouth Rock’s various operating groups to deliver insightful segment-level reporting.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements; suggest and implement related solutions.
- Prepare audit committee and executive presentations; perform flux analysis and provide explanations for unexpected activity and trends.
- Continuously provide insight on process improvements by establishing and maintaining procedures and controls.
- Collaborate with financial systems team to ensure all accounts are mapped accurately.
- Provide ad-hoc coverage to the financial systems team as needed.
- Host management reporting meetings throughout the month.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 5+ years’ of professional accounting experience within the property and casualty insurance industry.
- Understanding of STAT and GAAP fundamentals and financial statements.

Claims Project Manager, Homeowners Insurance

Plymouth Rock Assurance is looking foraclaims operations specialist who can conceptualize, design, test, and/or execute ideas resulting in new and viable business processes and offerings to build a sustainable competitive advantage. This role would be responsible for working in Project Management, Vendor Management as well as Training and Quality & Compliance. This is a high profile position with a significant impact on the organization. This role will be instrumental in the development of our quality and compliance team as well as other projects which will influence the homeowners organization.
This person willbe responsible forthe facilitation, planning, execution, and delivery of moderately complex claims projects intended to accomplish business goals and objectives within prescribed timeframes and budgets.They will also be responsible for developing and implementing quality assurance/control programs to ensure effective and efficient policies, processes, and procedures are aligned and followed.

Vendor Management
- Build influential partnerships across the homeowners claims industry to uncover competitive insights, synergies, and explore cutting edge solutions

Training & Onboarding
- Lead efforts to implement and train the claims staff on new technology and vendor programs
- Lead training team members in maintaining schedule to move organization forward with appropriate business initiatives
- Collaborate with claims leaders to enhance the employee onboarding program and coordinate with business owners to facilitate development of programs as necessary
Quality & Compliance
- Lead efforts to ensure quality and compliance expectations are met throughout the operation
- Plans, develops, executes and monitors all Quality evaluation processes and procedures as well as specialty evaluation requests, ad-hoc studies and projects.
- Coordinate staff training to address deficiencies or opportunities surfaced through quality audits
- Provides guidance and support related to various review and evaluation aspects, including but not, limited to assisting with action plans and follow-up on plan execution. Identifies opportunities to automate/streamline quality and compliance efforts.
- Communicates on behalf of Plymouth Rock to regulatory and governmental inquiries and maintains a central file for such documents

GENERAL PURPOSE
The Direct Repair Shop Coordinator is responsible for conducting quality assurance and re-inspection of the estimates on vehicles where a customer selected to bring their vehicle to one of our Door-to-Door Repair shops. The ideal candidate must be able to provide a high level of customer service while utilizing measures to control severities. This position includes oversight of Door-to-Door shops in the Massachusetts region utilizing re-inspections, compliance as containment controls. Ideal Candidate will reside in the Greater Boston Area with expected field work within Massachusetts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Survey damages, prepare estimates and negotiate settlements. Settlements include partial and total losses within their established authority level.
- Issue drafts to the appropriate parties.
- Document the claim file as necessary.
- Complete re-inspections and supplements in a timely manner complying with all Massachusetts state regulations.
- Liaison to Body Shops in our DTD network.
- Will require to utilize Claim’s Body Shop Portal to manage and communicate with DTD shops.
- Comply with all production standards and estimating guidelines.
- Ensure that service, expense control and public relations are maintained at all times.
- Complete reports on recovered theft and fire assignments.
- Participate in team meetings.
- Participate in catastrophic claim handling when requested. This may include overnight travel for extended periods of time.
- Adhere to privacy guidelines and Massachusetts 212 CMR 2.00.
- Monitor and manage our Independent Appraisers
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree preferred and/or a minimum of 5 years of auto claims appraisal experience.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Territory – Greater Boston Area
- Must have valid driver’s license and favorable driving record.
- Adverse conditions are encountered while inspecting vehicles. Candidate must be able to work outside in inclement weather and drive long distances.
- Comfortable completing inspections of damaged vehicles including but not limited to crawling under and around vehicles, inspecting vehicles in tight quarters at body shops and salvage yards, etc.
- Must be willing to participate in catastrophe claim handling when requested. This may include traveling to other locations, extended and weekend hours, and up to a three week stay away from home.

Agency Operations Supervisor
The Agency Operations Supervisor opening is for a highly skilled, productive, flexible and creative individual to manage the Agency Operations Team within the Home Group at Plymouth Rock Assurance’s Boston office. Our Home Marketing Departments work with a large network of independent and direct agents who market and service Plymouth Rock’s Auto, Home, Umbrella and Commercial Auto Insurance products. Our teams are responsible for all of the daily “back office” processing, contractual, and troubleshooting duties required to successfully manage agency relationships.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
The Agency Operations Supervisor manages the Home Agency Operations Team to support Plymouth Rock’s Home Group (Independent, Direct and Captive agents) and IA Auto Group (Independent Agents) Marketing Departments.
- Project/Collaborative Work
- Increase efficiency, standardize/rationalize processes and workflows, and overhaul design of agency data and administrative system.
- Develop and implement new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that align with best practices and ensure consistency across teams.
- Serve as the point of accountability and Home’s “voice” for all aspects of Property Marketing projects, ensuring adherence to defined requirements, timelines, and budgets.
- Focus on design of system development initiatives, such as Agent Data Repository (ADR) evolution, and rollout of workflow management tools like Cases 2.0 (Agency Self Serve) within Salesforce.
- Work closely with Legal and Compliance to ensure all documents provided to agents are approved, including contracts, profit sharing plans, addendums, and marketing communications.
True Service and Reporting:
- In-person or virtual meetings with agents to 1) resolve agency licensing and appointment issues and 2) drive technology initiatives and teach agents to use Home Sales tools.
- Communicate process changes and updates to all relevant business groups, ensuring proper training on changes.
- Develop and deliver status reports to management and stakeholders, including project status, risks, and action item logs.
Supervisory Duties:
- Actively monitor team workload by assigning and redistributing work when necessary through Salesforce’s Cases process for timely attention and completion.
- Create and oversee the onboarding of new employees.
- Oversee the Home Agency Operations Team's daily activities, provide guidance, and conduct mid-year and annual performance reviews.
Administrative:
- Build and update commission rules in Enterprise Commission System.
- Update ADR with agent and producer (CT, NH, PA) insurance license info (as needed when automated process does not capture license changes)
- Approve Systeme Software’s vendor invoices in Vision360 expense system.
- Manage semi-annual User Certification requests for Home Group employees’ access to Polstar/FAB, Agent Web, ECS, ADR.

- Maintains an effective diary system on pending files. Prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Keeps involved parties and agents updated on the status of the claim and emerging issues. .
- Ensures that service, loss, and expense control are maintained at all times.
- Adheres to privacy guidelines, law and regulations pertaining to claims handling.
- Prepares payments to vehicle owners, banks, and lease companies.
- Participate in catastrophic claim handling as requested/needed. This may include traveling to other locations, extended hours, and up to a three-week stay.
- Obtain state licenses as needed in the first six months.
Education & Requirements:
- 2+ years of claims handling experience including prior handling of total losses and/or diminished value/litigation claims.
- College degree or equivalent experience.
- General knowledge of vehicle nomenclature.
- Excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills.
- Good analytical and decision making skills. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

The Data Scientists will take a lead role in the end-to-end process of data science initiatives with limited supervision, including but not limited to model design, structure, development and post-deployment model performance monitoring. In this role, you will be set on a constant “treasure hunt” for new data sources to apply the latest techniques for modeling projects. The Virtual Auto Appraisal Supervisor directs, controls, and monitors the work within the Virtual Estimating Team (VET). The Virtual Auto Appraisal Supervisor ensures that the investigation, coverage, damage assessment, along with settlements and negotiations are completed in accordance with State(s) regulations and Plymouth Rock’s policies and procedures. - Hands-on modeling experience and a deep understanding of predictive modeling, data mining and other quantitative and research analytics (Multivariate Analysis, Bayesian Methods, Generalized Linear Models, Non-Linear Models, Decision Trees, Non- Parametric estimation, Machine learning techniques etc.).
- Strong programming ability in Python, SQL, and R, including experience building code and algorithms to tackle statistical problems.
- Solid understanding of database principles and experience working with large databases.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Masters or PhD from a quantitative area such as STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) or Economics strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of home insurance is a plus.

In this role you will be handling the field adjustment and management of homeowners property claims in Massachusetts.
Here is what you will do:
- Conducting accurate coverage analysis and damage assessments on complex files to ensure prompt payment of claims in accordance with quality standards
- Proactive communication, and setting accurate claims length expectations
- Writing estimates for covered damage, provide customers scope of loss and cost of repairs with some losses exceeding $100K
- Assign, direct and oversee vendors conducting mitigation and/or inspection during the adjustment of homeowners' property claim
- Identify subrogation potential and liability exposures
- Establish timely and appropriate claim reserves in accordance with claim standards
- Adjusting homeowner’s property claims in all states in which Plymouth Rock writes business.
- Appropriately represent the company by executing a high level of service and maintaining professionalism at all times
