The Director of Customer Solutions will work closely with the leadership team in developing strategy, with particular emphasis on exceeding service standards, engaging employees, optimizing our operations and enhancing the Customer and Agency Experience. The Director will develop recommendations on business practices, technologies and strategic priorities, and subsequently oversee the implementation of relevant process changes to ensure the achievement of departmental and company goals/objectives. He/She will work closely with cross company service centers to identify and implement best practices.   Essential Functions and Responsibilities - Manages operations and processes associated with service activities, underwriting, and policy services. - Creates and leads a culture of service excellence. Fosters an enthusiastic environment that is team-oriented, customer focused, and quality driven. - Drive operation improvements that will minimize expenses while delivering on service level objectives. - Maintains business ownership of customer care and policy service. - Acts as “voice of the agent and customer” in designing and implementing technology initiatives to promote ease of use, profitability and retention, and improve efficiency, including plans for increased agent and customer self-service. - Develops and sustains effective and mutually beneficial relationships between agents, marketing reps and customers. - Develops and maintain metrics measuring customer and agency satisfaction and productivity trends.  The Director should be able to not only understand the metrics but develop new insights from the metrics driving further service improvements.  - Provides strong leadership and acts as coach and role model to develop team members’ management skills. Identifies training needs and assesses quality and performance standards for the staff. - Responsible for defining and communicating annual department goals and performance expectations, including projected metrics and benchmarks. - Facilitates communication between Marketing, Product and other Service Centers and acts as liaison between the Field Marketing Reps, Product Managers, Division heads and the Customer Care Teams. - Communicates and works collaboratively on identified agency production, training or quality issues with Marketing Reps and Managers.   Qualification and Education - Bachelor’s Degree; plus a minimum of 5 years director or supervisor level experience in the industry; ideally in personal lines. - 5 or more years directly related call center leadership - Extensive experience with contact center systems including Avaya CMS, Avaya WFM/Recording - Superior strategic, analytical, and interpersonal skills. - Strong leadership skills. In this role you will work on our rapidly growing Homeowners team. Plymouth Rock Assurance has recently launched a new and modern product solution for home insurance, enabling customers and partners to obtain a home insurance quote in just seconds – a revolutionary way to buy Home insurance. Responsibilities Include: • Management of homeowner’s liability claims in MA, CT, NH and NY, and ever expanding State footprint in all of the states in which Plymouth Rock writes business. • Assign, direct and oversee field Independent Adjusters handling the investigation 3rd party liability losses.  • Work with House and Independent Counsel in the litigation defense process. • Properly document and assess the Company’s exposure, and establish adequate and timely reserves are placed on files in accordance to our best practices. • Evaluate and negotiate potential claim settlements with Plaintiffs, or appointed counsel. • Identify positive and negative trends, formulate solutions and work with other Supervisors and Directors to implement change. • Provide technical guidance and direction on homeowner liability cases. • Be accountable for the work of outside vendors, and assure a first in class customer service experience. • Ensure regulatory compliance and usage of claim best practices, while meeting targets for service, loss mitigation, productivity and expense management. • Ensure prompt determination of coverage, and payment of claims in accordance with quality standards   Qualifications: •At least 5 - 8 years of claim handling experience. Experience in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, and New York is required. Experience in New Jersey is preferred. • Comprehensive understanding of liability homeowner claims, with emphasis on slip and fall losses; dog liability; social host; and environmental losses. • Comprehensive understanding of Umbrella exposures, and handling losses excess of automobile liability. • Comprehensive understanding of homeowner policy. • Comprehensive understanding of General Laws in the footprint States. • Must have excellent writing skills. • Must have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work closely with legal counsel, as well as manage outside vendors, and ensure that results are meeting our standards and objectives.   Education: • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four year college or university required.

In this position, the Senior Underwriter will be responsible for interpreting insured and agency analytics, work collaboratively across the organization, executing and creating processes to identify and address Rate Evasion.  Identify potential areas of risk and working internally with Claims, Sales, Product and Customer Care and directly with insured and agencies to resolve findings.  Reviewing and evaluating Automobile new business applications, renewals and endorsements for completion, accuracy and compliance with underwriting guidelines.  Within company policy and guidelines, make underwriting decisions using appropriate tools and use independent judgement in accordance to given authority.  The ideal candidate will also provide underwriting support and direction to agencies to improve growth and profit objectives.  This will include conducting High Loss Ratio agency activities and execute agency audits.  Emphasis is placed on customer service, agency underwriting, and building relationships in support of corporate goals.   This role will be focused on Massachusetts and New York results with responsibilities that may extend across the enterprise    To meet the needs of our organizations and the clients we serve, your role will be asked to support Customer Care inquiries, Endorsement processing, quoting and any other activities that will support the organizations success.   Responsibilities - Become a knowledge resource and thought leader for state regulator requirements, the firm’s products and underwriting guidelines and philosophy. - Support the development of new employees and existing associates through coaching and training in accordance with department procedures. - Become subject matter experts and actively asses process improvement opportunities; follow and support the documentation and maintenance of department procedures. - Develop enhanced tracking and reporting capabilities while delivering timely and accurate progress reports and monthly business results as required. - Identify and execute repeatable Rate Pursuit analytical process to evaluate insured’s and our agency force. - Constantly and consistently evaluate methods that will enable the firm to maximize premium collection. - Be available and approachable and thoughtfully address escalated issues, complaints, questions and inquiries. - Conduct agency audits to ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines. - Leverage Marketing & Analytics/System generated reporting to identify, investigate and potentially audit agencies. - Execute multiple Rate Pursuit, New Business and Renewal projects. The success of this producer will be contingent on effective networking, cold calling and referrals.  The goal is to call on 20 potential prospects per day. He/She will reach out to secure face to face appointments with business owners and decision makers as well as with various business segments including banks, real estate, mortgage and institutions.   The role expects the producer to be prospecting clients for the main office location in Amherst, MA. You will design, build and append to a data warehouse and DataMart connecting data with common categorical and identifying descriptors, and make the data and your derived analytical measures to production systems, underwriters and other personnel.   Modeling: You will develop and enhance models used in a variety of contexts within the product management structure of Plymouth Rock by utilizing both statistical methods (Generalized Linear Models, Mixed Effects Models, Ridge, Lasso, etc.) and machine learning techniques (Gradient Boosted Trees, Random Forests, Deep Learning, etc.)..  You will stay current on the latest machine learning and big data trends and be responsible for advancing the modeling capabilities within Plymouth Rock and transferring those advancements to other personnel.   Implementation: You will facilitate the application of models developed considering the regulatory, distribution and competitive contexts within which we operate.  This will include ensuring that models are well understood, the implications are appropriately assessed, implementation plans are defined, validation of results are undertaken and adjustments are made rapidly. With 6+ years of industry experience. - 2-3+ years previous experience related to the implementation, configuration, and integration of Salesforce.com.  - Solid understanding of Salesforce.com architecture, API and security policies.  - Understanding of Salesforce developer data tools (Data Loader, Excel Connector, DemandTools, Eclipse Force.com IDE, D&B360, Data.com, Apex, and Visualforce). - Business analysis and functional experience, including requirements gathering, creating/deploying solutions to end users. - Strong attention to detail and excellent problem solving skills. - Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams. - Strong SQL capabilities. - 1-2 years of prior hands on experience coding in a Java environment. Preferred Qualifications.  - Certified Salesforce.com Administrator (ADM-201) or equivalent experience. - Experience with Partner and/or Customer Portal. - Experience with scripted data loader, web services, cloud or on-premise middleware and other enterprise integrating technologies. - Understanding of UI design principles and best practices. - Highly innovative, flexible and self-directed. - Results-oriented person with a delivery focus. - Strong organization skills. - Handles multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. - Self-starter and be able to handle multiple tasks and priorities. - Computer Telephony Integration experience.
