The Nurse Case Supervisor is primarily responsible for the day-to day leadership of a team of Nurse Case Representatives and Pre-certification Coordinators. The selected individual will be responsible for ensuring departmental objectives are achieved by providing employees with guidance, training, support and coaching. They are responsible for ensuring that all claims are addressed within State regulatory compliance guidelines. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to the below: Essential Functions and Responsibilities - Supervise a team of Nurse Case Representatives and Pre-certification Coordinators, monitor incoming treatment plan volume and analyze the unit to ensure regulatory deadlines are achieved. - Foster an environment that is team oriented, customer responsive, and quality driven. - Monitor, evaluate and develop each Nurse Case Representative and Pre-certification Coordinator to ensure high quality and production standard are achieved. - Review and evaluate decisions made by Nurse Case Representatives and Pre-certification Coordinators to verify decisions made are within the standards of the Company’s Decision Point Review Plan and New Jersey AICRA requirements. - Perform quality reviews for staff and provide feedback on trends identified. - Review and evaluate treatment plans for designated Claim files. - Evaluate, establish and analyze Independent Medical Examinations for designated Claim files. - Monitor designated pending claim files to ensure compliance with AICRA regulations. - Review medical expense payments in accordance with Company claim guidelines. - Provide overall support to the Medical Claims Department; effectively answer questions, handle customer / provider inquiry calls, assist in complaint resolution and assess claims decisions made. - Develop, review and implement policies and procedures to ensure consistency, quality and efficiency within the unit. - Evaluate current and future vendors to ensure full compliance to State regulations. - Identify and communicate trends to the Medical Claim Directors with recommendations for process modifications and workflow revisions. - Develop effective working relationships with staff; peers; and members of other areas of the Company to implement, support and achieve business goals Qualifications and Education - Have a thorough understanding of the New Jersey AICRA regulation. - Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent professional experience in supervision and/or customer service. - RN or LPN designation. - Coding knowledge / experience a plus. - 3-5 years Supervisory and Case Management experience. - Functional knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy inclusive of ICD-9 and CPT coding. - Ability to work in a fast paced environment and multi-task. - Good organizational skills and ability to manage time and schedules effectively. - Must be able to coach and train staff to maintain positive performance in order to meet department goals and provide career development skills. - Ability to identify trends and/or key issues, analyze available data and recommend corrective action. The Auto Damage Appraiser/Crashbuster is responsible for preparing physical damage estimates on vehicles where a claim has been submitted for first or third party damages in the Quincy, MA and Braintree, MA regions. The candidate will be required to provide a high level of customer service while utilizing measures to control severities. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: - Survey damages, prepare estimates and negotiate settlements.  Settlements include partial and total losses within their established authority level. - Issue drafts to the appropriate parties. - Document the claim file as necessary. - Complete re-inspections and supplements in a timely manner complying with all state regulations. - Liaison to Body Shops in our GRP network.   - Comply with all production standards and estimating guidelines - Ensure that service, expense control and public relations are maintained at all times. - Complete reports on recovered theft and fire assignments. - Participate in team meetings - Participate in catastrophic claim handling when requested. Qualifications and Education:    - Assigned Territory – Quincy, MA and Braintree, MA regions - Must have a valid Massachusetts Auto Damage Appraiser License - Must have valid driver’s license and favorable driving record. - A minimum of 1-3 years of auto claims appraisal experience. - Adverse conditions are encountered while inspecting vehicles. This individual is responsible for the handling of Auto Property Claims in accordance with NJ Unfair Practices Act. The environment is fast paced with heavy phone work. The position requires patience and the ability to function professionally in adversarial situations. Essential Functions and Responsibilities - Investigate and interpret policy provisions, endorsements and conditions to make a coverage determination in the automobile property claim. - Identify and investigate Contested Coverage Claims with recommendation prepared for coverage committee. - Responsible for the investigation of the auto accident to make a liability assessment. This includes interviewing first and third party claimants, witnesses, investigating officers and other relevant parties, along with securing pertinent records, documentation and loss scene information. - Analyze the investigation to determine proximate cause, negligence, and damages. - Evaluate and adjust reserves as necessary. - Prepare dispatch instructions for field personnel to inspect vehicles. - Negotiate and settle claims within his/her individual authority. - Submit claims for approval to supervisor when over his/her authority or for guidance, review and/or referral when appropriate. - Maintain an effective follow-up system on pending files. - Prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. - Adjust to fluctuating workload. - Advise insureds, claimants, brokers on the status of the claim. - Act as an intermediary between the Company, preferred vendors and customers. - Resolve all disputes that may arise. - Ensure that service, loss and expense control are maintained at all times. - Adhere to privacy guidelines, law and regulations pertaining to claims handling. - Investigate and initiate subrogation when applicable. - Handle and respond to arbitration and special civil part lawsuits pertaining to property damage. - Participate in catastrophic claim handling as requested/needed. This may include traveling to other locations and extended hours. - Other duties as assigned.  Qualifications and Education - Excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills. - Strong customer service, organizational, verbal, and written skills are required. - Basic personal computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products. - Recent college graduates are encouraged to apply! - A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university is a plus. This individual will work within our “Complex PD Claim Unit”.  They will need to provide a high level of customer service while exercising patience throughout the process. The environment is fast paced with heavy phone work. Strong customer service, organizational, verbal, and written skills are required.
