  The Claims Express associate will work in a team environment to deliver world-class service to auto insurance customers using a variety of available automated processes. This position is responsible for the handling of Auto Property Claims in accordance with NJ Unfair Practices Act along with other States such as NY and Mass. The environment is fast paced with heavy phone work. Strong customer service, organizational, verbal, and written skills are required. The position requires patience and the ability to function professionally in adversarial situations. Essential Functions and Responsibilities - Investigates and interprets policy provisions, endorsements and conditions to make a coverage determination in the automobile property claim. Identify and investigate Contested Coverage Claims with recommendation prepared for coverage committee. - Responsible for the investigation of the auto accident to make a liability assessment. This includes interviewing first and third party claimants, witnesses, investigating officers and other relevant parties, along with securing pertinent records, documentation and loss scene information. - Analyzes the investigation to determine proximate cause, negligence, and damages. Evaluates and adjusts reserves as necessary. - Prepares dispatch instructions for field personnel to inspect vehicles. - Negotiates and settles claims within his/her individual authority. Submits claims for approval to supervisor when over his/her authority or for guidance, review and/or referral when appropriate. - Maintains an effective follow-up system on pending files. Prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Adjust to fluctuating workload. Advises insureds, claimants, brokers on the status of the claim. Acts as an intermediary between the Company, preferred vendors and customers. Resolves all disputes that may arise. - Ensures that service, loss and expense control are maintained at all times. - Adheres to privacy guidelines, law and regulations pertaining to claims handling. - Investigate and initiate subrogation when applicable. May handle and respond to special civil part lawsuits pertaining to property damage. - Participate in catastrophic claim handling as requested/needed. The Casualty Claim Representative will be responsible for the handling of First and Third Party Bodily Injury claims in a Personal Lines/Commercial environment for the Plymouth Rock Operation. Essential Functions and Responsibilities - Initiate prompt contact of all insureds/claimants/witnesses on all new claim assignments to conduct thorough coverage and liability/injury investigations.  These investigations might require the representatives take in depth recorded statements to investigate coverage and liability/injury claims. - Analyze, review and interpret policies to assess coverage and liability. Provide advice to Excess and Primary coverage issues. - Conduct field investigations, interviews with insureds, witnesses and claimants while maintaining a pending of represented and unrepresented claimant cases. - Manage and direct outside vendors (Field/Counsel/Surveillance, etc.) to determine what investigation is necessary and give them direction to bring a claim to conclusion. Ensure only necessary work is completed. - Investigate cases timely so that reserves are established and maintained at proper levels.  Revise reserves timely based on developments in the course of the claim.       - Investigate the validity of bodily injury claims being presented by individual insureds/claimants or attorneys representing insureds/claimants. Be aware of certain “Red Flags” to identify potential fraudulent claims. Refer to SIU for investigation timely. - Handle complex claims to include coverage issues, UM/UIM, TNC, Commercial, Umbrella etc.  Also, must have prior litigation handling. - Recognize and investigate subrogation potential. - Negotiate both 1st and 3rd party claims directly with injured parties and/or their attorneys. - Exercises proper judgment and decision making to analyze exposure, determine the proper course of action and make recommendations for final resolution. - Attend litigation proceedings to either represent the company or participate in arbitrations/depositions/settlement conferences/ mediations/ trials. - Attend all internal and external training events as required.  - Participate in proactive team activities to achieve departmental and company objectives. May be asked to participate in special projects, committees or assignments from management. - Utilize all claims systems, Excel, Word and social media search engines. - Prepare case summary for significant reserve increase and/or trial alerts. Participate in roundtable discussions. - Effectively manage workload while maintaining diary and focus on claims quality.   - Possess knowledge of and adherence to State(s) laws and regulatory claim handling guidelines and statutory regulations. - Adhere to departmental internal control requirements. Comply with Plymouth Rock’s standards, best practices and ethical guidelines, adhere to Plymouth Rock’s culture.  Qualifications and Education - A bachelor's degree (B.A.) from an accredited four year college or university. - 5 - 10 years’ experience handling liability commercial, homeowners, UM/UIM, Excess/Umbrella. - In-depth knowledge of litigation, arbitration and trial process, handle out of state claims, and/or Personal Injury Protection claims.  - Currently holds and/or can readily obtain an out of State License(s) (i.e. - CT, Delaware, Florida, etc.). Professional designation such as IIA, AEI, Senior Claim Law Associate (SCLA) or Chartered Property Casualty Underwriting (CPCU) or be actively working towards a designation, preferred.  - High level of self-motivation. - Have advanced skills in coverage, investigation, litigation/ legal issues, negotiations, evaluations, medical terminology, and subrogation. - Strong communication, organizational, customer service and time management skills. - Excellent problem solving skills. - Possess knowledge of and adherence to State(s) laws and regulatory claim handling guidelines and statutory regulations. The Data Scientist intern will conduct full cycle of the development of advanced analytical models under supervision to enable future growth and profitability for our book of business. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of technical expertise, strategic vision, and a passion for delivering exceptional digital experience.   Essential Functions and Responsibilities:   Technical Ownership: - Own the administration, management, development, and deployment for all Salesforce Marketing Cloud initiatives. - Accountable for all technical functions, including data architecture, configuration, customization, integration with other systems, and ongoing platform optimization. - Manage audit and process control reporting within Marketing to ensure all functions are performed as expected. - Ensure compliance with digital communication regulations, including CAN-SPAM and TCPA regulations.   Strategic Leadership: - Serve as the Digital Product Manager for Salesforce Marketing Cloud by managing our product vision, strategy, backlog, and roadmap and ensuring alignment with business goals to achieve expected outcomes. - Maintain responsibility for key performance indicators to monitor the performance of campaigns.   Management and Collaboration: - Directly manage and mentor two direct reports supporting Salesforce Marketing Cloud initiatives, a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer and Email Marketing Specialist. - Work closely with business and IT stakeholders to ensure digital engagement initiatives are in alignment with overall business objectives.   Campaign Execution: - Leverage Journey Builder, Mobile Studio, and Cloud Pages to design and execute a series of complex email, SMS, and mobile push communication campaigns, leveraging data-driven insights to ensure maximum engagement and conversion rates. - Conduct A/B tests to measure effectiveness and continually optimize content, subject lines, and send times using Einstein and other available tools.   Analytics and Reporting: - Create and maintain dashboards and reports to track KPIs related to all campaigns and platform performance. - Use root cause analysis to identify opportunities to improve our KPIs.   Innovation: - Stay updated on industry best practices and latest trends to seek constant improvement.   Qualifications and Education: - Minimum 5+ years’ experience managing an implementation of Salesforce Marketing Cloud/Exact Target. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Marketing, or related field is required. - Expert level understanding of digital communication best practices, A/B testing, and marketing automation strategies. - Advanced proficiency in SQL, AMPscript, SSJS, and API integrations. - Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. - Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and provide technical guidance to non-technical stakeholders. - Strong project management skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. - Salesforce Marketing Cloud Certifications and experience working with Salesforce Data Cloud are a plus.   About the Company: The Plymouth Rock Company and its affiliated group of companies write and manage over $2.0 billion in personal and commercial auto and homeowner’s insurance throughout the Northeast and mid-Atlantic, where we have built an unparalleled reputation for service. Director of Infrastructure   In this position, you will lead several teams responsible for the design, engineering, operational support, and strategic modernization of the compute services that serve as the foundation for all of the firm’s hybrid cloud infrastructure.   The ideal candidate will have experience building infrastructure as a service using OpenStack and hybrid cloud solutions and be able to collaborate closely with engineering organizations to modernize the way we provision and manage infrastructure services. This person will be familiar with open-source technology, infrastructure as code, and building solutions to meet the needs of their customers.   Essential Functions and Responsibilities: - Brings current IT knowledge, future vision, leadership and management abilities, process design skills and business expertise to transform the Infrastructure and Operations function in on premise and a hybrid cloud environment (AWS, IAAS, PAAS, SAAS, AZURE, GCP). - Works closely with the management team and other key business decision-makers in identifying and implementing cost-effective IT infrastructure technology solutions for all aspects of the business inclusive of infrastructure, software, hardware, networks, security that enhance mission critical operations of the IT department for Plymouth Rock companies. - In charge of business continuity and disaster recovery within the organization as well as the recommendation and implementation of new investments within the technology infrastructure ensuring proper configuration, implementation, maintenance, and monitoring, sites/software, servers, data and data encryption, and internet connections. - Leads the process and team members in the analysis, enhancement, and tailoring of current practices and existing systems in order to increase operating efficiencies as well as reduce and cut costs within the business.
