The staff counsel office of Plymouth Rock Management Company of New Jersey located in Mount Laurel seeks a full time attorney with an insurance defense background to handle all aspects of personal injury litigation from initial referral to trial. The attorney would be responsible for handing predominately Central New Jersey territories but may get cases in any county in the State. This person will perform Project Management responsibilities, managing multiple concurrent projects. - Meet with business partners to establish budget for project deliverables and tracking progress to keep project within agreed upon budget.
- Execute change and project management practices including planning for timelines and deliverables, establishing analytical structures to focus the work and developing big picture frameworks that shape the project approach for collaborators and stakeholders.
- Managing system requirements, test procedures, and quality standards. Facilitating user acceptance testing and reviewing requirements with business owners and all other stakeholders.

- Assess project risks and exposures, identify options and alternatives, make decisions, and implement corrective actions.
- Leverage in-depth experience in the policy life cycle system testing.

Qualifications:
Demonstrated expertise in:
- Developing detailed systems requirements documents using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, descriptions, use cases, and business process analysis
- Developing time and cost estimates for project(s) and presenting a justification of time and cost estimate of project to the business.
- Reviewing and analyzing project requests, evaluating business requirements, and identifying impacted areas for the development of technical solutions, analyzing proposed solutions for technical feasibility and negotiating with stakeholders for approval of best available solution.
- Developing and Maintaining Project Plans (including tracking scope, schedule and cost) utilizing Project Management software.

- Analyze, review and interpret policies to assess coverage and liability. Provide advice to Excess and Primary coverage issues.
- Willing to conduct field investigations, interviews with insureds, witnesses and claimants while maintaining a pending of represented claimant cases.
- Manage and direct outside vendors (Field/Counsel/Surveillance, Etc..) to determine what investigation is necessary and give them direction to bring a claim to conclusion. Ensure only necessary work is completed.
- Investigate cases timely so that reserves are established and maintained at proper levels. Revise reserves timely based on developments in the course of the claim.
- Investigate the validity of bodily injury claims being presented by individual insureds/claimants or attorneys representing insureds/claimants. Be aware of certain “Red Flags” to identify potential fraudulent claims. Refer to SIU for investigation timely.

In this position, the Senior Underwriter will be responsible for interpreting insured and agency analytics, work collaboratively across the organization, executing and creating processes to identify and address Rate Evasion. Identify potential areas of risk and working internally with Claims, Sales, Product and Customer Care and directly with insured and agencies to resolve findings. In this position you will handle a pending que of automobile bodily injury losses, which includes minor to high severity bodily Injury, uninsured and underinsured motorists claims. The Field Auto Damage Appraiser is responsible for preparing physical damage estimates on vehicles where a claim has been submitted for first or third party damages. The party will be required to provide a high level of customer service while utilizing measures to control severities.

The Virtual Auto Estimator will complete estimates from photos or video submitted by customers and or body shops. They will use this information to process claim payments as necessary.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Work in a Team Environment with our Virtual Estimating Team
- Provide exceptional customer service ensuring that public relations are maintained at all times.
- Efficiently write accurate estimates based on photos and videos meeting production guidelines.
- Complete, review and reconcile supplemental repair estimates.
- Review and negotiate estimates with customers and or repair facilities.
- Document claim files with notes, evaluations and decision making process.
- Process claim payments as necessary.
- Evaluate vehicle condition for Total Loss Settlements.
- Adhere to state regulatory compliance.
Qualifications and Education
- A bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university
- Related claims experience or a thorough knowledge of automobile parts and repair techniques, terminology and vehicle construction.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- Obtaining Appraisal Licenses required for certain states.

This position is responsible for the handling of Auto Property Total Loss Claims in accordance with NJ Unfair Practices Act. The environment is fast paced with heavy phone work. Strong customer service, organizational, math, verbal, and written skills are required. The position requires patience and the ability to function professionally in adversarial situations.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Negotiates and communicates all first and third-party total loss settlements per company and state guidelines. Multi Jurisdictions to include: NY, NJ, PA and CT (when licensed)
- Understands the total loss evaluation methodology processes with the ability to effectively communicate these to vehicle owners.
- Has a basic understanding of vehicle financing/leasing.
- Reviews damage estimates to confirm vehicles are total losses.
- Documents all settlements and actions in the claim file system.
- Works directly with salvage vendor to move first-party vehicles and obtains salvage bids on third-party vehicles.
- Negotiates and settles claims within his/her individual authority. Submits claims for approval to supervisor when over his/her authority or for guidance, review, and/or referral when appropriate.
- Escalates claims to the supervisor that are not moving in a positive direction.
- Maintains an effective diary system on pending files. Prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Quickly adjusts to fluctuating workload.
- Keeps insureds and claimants updated on the status of the claim and emerging issues.
- Acts as an intermediary between the Company, preferred vendors, and customers. Resolves all disputes that may arise.
- Ensures that service, loss and expense control are maintained at all times.
- Adheres to privacy guidelines, laws, and regulations pertaining to claims handling.
- Prepares payments to vehicle owners, banks, and lease companies.
- Participate in catastrophic claim handling as requested/needed.
- Obtain State Licenses as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education
- College degree or equivalent experience.
- General knowledge of vehicle nomenclature.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products.
- Comfortable conducting searches on popular auto sales sites to validate availability and pricing if necessary.

This position's primary responsibility is to service, counsel and retain existing personal automobile, homeowners, umbrella and flood insurance policyholders.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain complete product knowledge of all three lines of business (Auto, Homeowner and Umbrella) and for all states across all regions (NJ, PA, MA, CT and NH).
- Accurately enter and update policy information into the various processing systems and handle phone inquiries regarding coverage and premiums.
- Deliver first call resolution and a low customer effort.
- Demonstrate high energy and motivation to follow up and take ownership.
- Maintain flexibility and demonstrate the ability to work under pressure.
- Meet and/or exceed the expectation of customers and agents, providing professional and efficient service at all times through positive interactions and extensive product knowledge.
- Quote and sell new personal lines products to prospective clients, up-sell and cross-sell existing clients via phone, internet and written request.
- Conduct periodic renewal reviews with policyholders and provide recommendations to address potential insurance gaps.
- Perform research and initiate changes/corrections to customer’s policies according to established procedures and sound business judgment.
- Identify and resolve potential underwriting issues in new and existing business.
- Develop and foster Agent/Company Relationships.
- Update marketing and various management tracking reports as assigned.
- Engage in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
- Demonstrate willingness and ability to learn new functions within the Customer Solutions Center.
- Assist other departments when the need arises.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education
- Above average interpersonal, listening, communication, and organizational skills.
- Good analytical and decision making skills. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Intermediate MS Office skills required. Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills and possess the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Must achieve and maintain published call and transaction quality processing standards.
- Must be able to handle a high volume of in-bound and out-bound calls within time standards while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Excellent written and telephone skills required; clear enunciation and oral communication skills required.
- Strong attention to detail required.
- The ability to work full-time flexible or changing schedules is a critical aspect of this department.
- Hours of operation are 8:00 am-7:00 pm Monday-Friday.
- Superior attendance record required.
- Spanish-language fluency a plus.
- Sales-related experience a plus.
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university; or two to three years related
- Personal Lines experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
