The Treasury Operations Accountant is primarily responsible for day to day activity relating to  premium billing operations, general ledger journal entries, suspense account reconciliations, processing daily outgoing premium refund and claim payments and supporting tasks for past due premium bad debt management.  In addition, this position will assist the Treasury Manager with AR journal entry review, payroll deduct premium handling and bank reconciliations. The candidate will also participate in the support of our internal customers in Customer Solutions with payment corrections and pay plan updates. Essential Functions and Responsibilities - Works independently with judgment to communicate up when appropriate - Build a solid understanding of how each billing transaction affects general ledger, bad debt and our internal and external customers. - Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals - Prepare suspense and bank reconciliations and improves processes to prevent re-occurrence of discrepancies - Review and process daily outgoing refund and loss payments - Process pay plan updates following NACHA returns involving incorrect DDA - Prepare submissions to collections vendor for bad debt placements. Notify vendor of direct paid balances, post weekly remittances. - Review and correct suspense account activity via EAS Suspense module  Qualifications and Education - Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Accounting or Finance - One to three years related experience. The Property Damage Claims Supervisor will oversee the operation of a unit of claim representatives (6 to 7+) with varying levels of experience who handle physical damage claims in accordance with state specific regulations. The ideal candidate will be familiar with property damage, State compliance in a multi- State environment including New Jersey, Pennsylvania and ideally New York and Massachusetts.  Extensive understanding and application of comparative negligence is a requirement. This would be supervising a Complex team of associates. This position is responsible for planning the activities and monitoring the results of the team’s efforts to achieve assigned goals and objectives for production and quality.  You will advise your team on their handling of claims in multiple States in accordance with the States’ regulations.  You will interact with your staff through regular Team/Huddle Meetings as well as one on one developmental sessions. You will partner with management in review of the department’s pending and provide technical training, file instruction, and advice to claims associates on an everyday basis. Essential Functions and Responsibilities - Direct and control the work of internal Property Damage who evaluate, negotiate and settle first and third party claims. - High degree of customer interaction and at times intervention. - Close daily monitoring of the CMS phone application. - FNOL and call routing monitoring on a daily basis. - Dedication toward achieving a high 7 point survey along with Hi Marley Surveys. Hi Marley monitoring and achieving Marley opt in rates. - Work effectively with our Field Appraisal and Total Loss Teams. - Establish and monitor unit goals for service, production and work quality. - Plan unit workflow and monitor assignment of claims to unit members based on volume. - Promote teamwork through effective leadership. - Review active and closed files in compliance with Quality Assurance program to identify trends, provide direction, and provide feedback to unit. - Provide management with monthly analysis of quality trends and performance of claims associates and salvage recoveries. - Prepare Tableau analysis for the Property Director. - Conduct training on a group and individual basis on all aspects of the job. - Review and approve settlements that exceed staff authority levels. - Conduct performance reviews and counseling sessions. - Monitor attendance and write performance appraisals. - Make recommendations for promotions, staff changes, and salary. - Conduct monthly QA. - Conduct periodic Market Conduct Reviews of multiple States. - Participate in interview process making recommendation to hire/not hire with reasoning. - Oversee value added services such as Hi Marley and Car Pics. - Familiar with the PRNJ GRP program. The Head of Instructional Design is responsible for working collaboratively with subject matter experts and cross-functional partners in the systematic design, development and delivery of instructional materials and experiences, both digital & physical, in a consistent and reliable fashion that enables efficient, effective and engaging adult learning. The role will be responsible for creating the organization’s learning and development strategy, implementing the strategy and quantifying its success. Finally, the role will take on a leadership role in building the appropriate infrastructure and operations to support, embrace, mentor and enhance the organization’s current learning environment. The role will report to the Chief Operating Officer and will partner with a team of senior executives that are passionate about developing the careers of their colleagues.   Core Responsibilities: - Create and implement a Learning and Development (L&D) Strategy that fosters a learning culture. Create a roadmap that delivers short term value while aligning with a longer term vision. - Establish an intake and review of existing collateral process for identifying, prioritizing and selecting high value L&D programs - Create a standardize methodology similar to the L&D ADDIE Model (analyze, design, develop, implement and evaluate) that can be replicated across the organization. The Casualty Claim Representative will be responsible for the handling of First and Third Party Bodily Injury and Physical Damage claims in a Personal Lines /Commercial environment for the Plymouth Rock Operation. The candidate must have the skills listed below and be able to perform the following duties: Essential Functions and Responsibilities - Initiate prompt contact of all insureds/claimants/witnesses on all new claim assignments to conduct thorough coverage and liability/injury investigations.  These investigations might require the representatives take in depth recorded statements to investigate coverage and liability/injury claims. - Analyze, review and interpret policies to assess coverage and liability. Provide advice to Excess and Primary coverage issues. - Willing to conduct field investigations, interviews with insureds, witnesses and claimants while maintaining a pending of represented claimant cases. - Manage and direct outside vendors (Field/Counsel/Surveillance, Etc..) to determine what investigation is necessary and give them direction to bring a claim to conclusion. Ensure only necessary work is completed. - Investigate cases timely so that reserves are established and maintained at proper levels.  Revise reserves timely based on developments in the course of the claim.      - Investigate the validity of bodily injury claims being presented by individual insureds/claimants or attorneys representing insureds/claimants. Be aware of certain “Red Flags” to identify potential fraudulent claims. Refer to SIU for investigation timely. - Have advanced skills in coverage, investigation, litigation/ legal issues, negotiations, evaluations, medical terminology, and subrogation.  Handle more complex claims to include coverage issues, UM/UIM, etc..  Also, must have prior litigation handling. - Recognize and investigate subrogation potential. - Negotiate both 1st and 3rd party claims directly with injured parties or their attorneys. - Exercises proper judgment and decision making to analyze exposure, determine the proper course of action and make recommendations for final resolution. - Attend litigation proceedings to either represent the company or participate in arbitrations/depositions/settlement conferences/ mediations/ trials. - Attend all internal and external training events as required.  - Participate in proactive team activities to achieve departmental and company objectives. May be asked to participate in special projects, committees or assignments from management. - Possess strong organizational skills, able to demonstrate time management, has the ability to prioritize multiple tasks/duties, and be proficient in the utilization of all claims systems, Excel, Word and social media search engines. - Have strong communication skills both verbal and written. Provide strong customer service. Prepare case summary for significant reserve increase and/or trial alerts.
