This state or regional Managing Director leads the management of the company’s product features, pricing and competitive position for Plymouth Rock’s personal lines products sold in the assigned market(s) for the Direct division. This person is responsible for independently creating and developing favorable business outcomes through the analysis of complex issues, and for providing recommendations for the implementation of new rating plans, underwriting rules, process improvements, and other initiatives. This role serves as a liaison between the Product department and all of the other departments that interface with the group, and is a key partner with Plymouth Rock’s Marketing and Claims divisions. Essential Functions and Responsibilities - Accountable for the P&L of personal lines products sold in the Direct division (state and market assignment based on applicant’s experience).  - Responsible for driving the business to achieve budgeted growth and profitability business results. - Lead Product team in expansion into emerging markets. - Effectively manage projects of high complexity using available tools and data systems to identify, test and solve strategic business issues within the company data/reports, troubleshoot when there are inconsistencies and present findings to senior management. - Interface with other departments to strategically address the needs of the business.  This partnership extends to marketing, claims, actuarial, data science, customer service, underwriting, finance, and information technology. - Directly manage and develop product managers and analysts. - Understand predictive modeling and other quantitative concepts and serve as a resource to interpret these concepts for business application. - Seek out new ideas and approaches to business issues and develop hypotheses independently. - Constructively challenge current processes and proposed solutions to obtain the best outcome. - Serve as a regulatory expert, providing a thorough understanding of our rules and endorsements. - Monitor the competitive, legislative, and regulatory environments in assigned states to identify emerging threats to our objectives and recommend plans for responding. - Serve as a mentor to other team members on aspects of project work, insurance and general business knowledge. - Perform other job-related duties as assigned.   Qualifications and Education - Ability to utilize quantitative approaches to generate sound business analyses with detail orientation. - Identify results out of the norm, draw conclusions and articulate findings. - Confidence in taking ownership of challenging business issues, making decisions with limited or incomplete data and seeing issues through to resolution. - Experience developing and implementing new, creative and effective solutions to highly complex business issues. - Understanding of and experience within the insurance industry is required. - Skilled in linking multiple data sources into a logical format for analysis. - Experience managing relationships with senior management and with technical developers. - Excellent project management and problem-solving skills. - Ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. - 10 or more years in product management, actuarial, or other analytical role. - 10 or more years of experience with relational database tools and concepts. - Masters or higher level degree preferred.  The Marketing Analytics Supervisor will use their technical and business skills to push deeper analytics into our daily actions and decisions. They will manage a team that is responsible for reporting, analyzing and optimizing the performance of our direct to consumer marketing initiatives and performance of key platforms or support areas integral to the success of a direct insurance writer such as the website and sales center. This team is made up of individual contributors with backgrounds in marketing analytics, other insurance analytics such as Actuarial or Product Management and has experience in pulling/managing data. Senior Auto Property Damage Adjuster The Senior Auto Property Damage Adjuster will assist customers after a motor vehicle accident through knowledgeable communication and management of the claims process. Building relationships primarily over the phone in a fast-paced environment handling first and third party auto property damage claims. The Field Auto Damage Appraiser is responsible for preparing physical damage estimates on vehicles where a claim has been submitted for first or third party damages. The party will be required to provide a high level of customer service while utilizing measures to control severities. Essential Functions and Responsibilities - Survey damages, prepare estimates and negotiate settlements on partial and total losses within their established authority level. - Issue drafts to the appropriate parties. - Document the claim file as necessary. - Complete re inspections and supplements in a timely manner and in accordance with all guidelines. - Comply with all production standards and estimating guidelines - Ensure that service, expense control and public relations are maintained at all times. - Complete reports on investigative assignments. - Participate in team meetings - Participate in catastrophic claim handling when requested. This may include overnight travel for extended periods of time. - Adhere to privacy guidelines and NJ Fair Claims Practices and/or New York Regulation 64.
