We are seeking a dynamic and analytical leader to supervise and oversee the day-to-day operations of our underwriting department. In this critical role, you will not only manage staff but also ensure strict adherence to our underwriting and regulatory guidelines while consistently meeting our company standards for quality, productivity, and timeliness.
The ideal candidate will prioritize exceptional customer service, providing superior and efficient support to our agents and policyholders. This fast-paced environment requires an individual with outstanding written, oral, technical, and organizational skills, alongside a robust understanding of homeowners insurance regulations.
In addition to staff development, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining and interpreting comprehensive reports to track department performance. Your ability to analyze data will be key in identifying trends and key service issues, enabling you to recommend effective corrective actions. You will implement workflows and procedures designed to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency
Qualifications:
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with a proven ability to motivate and inspire your team.
• In-depth knowledge of Property & Casualty insurance, particularly homeowners insurance.
• Proficient underwriting, policy service, and problem resolution skills.
• Exceptional analytical skills, with a demonstrated ability to identify, analyze, and interpret data trends and key service issues, and recommend actionable solutions.
• Capacity to evaluate complex information effectively and make informed decisions
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience and 5 years of relevant experience in the Property & Casualty industry.
• Direct experience in personal lines homeowners underwriting.
