The Product Analyst Intern will assist in the development of the company’s product features, pricing and competitive position. The key responsibility of this role is to assist the assigned Product Manager by conducting analysis of complex business issues and provide recommendations for the implementation of rating plan changes, underwriting rules, process improvements, and other initiatives.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Assist with pricing reviews for our current & upcoming rate plans
• Research market opportunity for various segments and help identify segments that can improve Plymouth Rock’s ability to grow profitably in the region
• Conduct competitor analysis
• Present findings from research projects to leadership
• Collaborate with departments outside of Product Management including Actuarial, Marketing, Claims and Advanced Analytics
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education

• Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
• Self-starter personality with strong desire to learn about the business.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to utilize quantitative approaches to analyze assigned business problems with high levels of attention to detail & articulate observations from the analysis.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Prior experience with SQL or comparable software is desired but not required
• BA/BS degree in quantitative field of study
• Completion of actuarial exams are a plus but not required
