Role Overview:

As a Claims Representative, Subrogation, you'll be a vital part of our mission to recover funds from parties responsible for losses sustained by our insureds. Join our dynamic team and contribute to maximizing recoveries through effective claims presentation and negotiation.

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Dive into automobile liability cases, identifying all liable parties in the unique Boston market.
  • Initiate contact with responsible claimants and insurance carriers, ensuring timely and efficient recoveries.
  • Present and articulate our theory of liability to an adverse party or arbitration panel, showcasing your negotiation skills.
  • Negotiate settlements with adverse carrier representatives, attorneys, or claimants in the bustling Boston insurance landscape.
  • Craft written drafts of arbitration contentions, passionately arguing liability and skillfully disputing reductions to submitted demands.
  • Work towards earning certification to become an arbitration panelist.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of regulatory claims handling guidelines and statutory regulations specific to the Boston market.
  • Adhere to departmental internal control requirements and actively participate in team activities to achieve local objectives.
  • Attend internal and external training events, staying updated on industry trends in the Boston insurance scene.

Qualifications and Education:

  • Possess an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree and/or showcase 3-5 years of claim experience in Casualty, PIP, or Physical Damage.
  • Strong written communication skills to navigate Boston's diverse professional landscape.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, a crucial trait for success in the fast-paced Boston market.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, a standard requirement in Boston's tech-savvy environment.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team and adept at conflict resolution, reflecting the spirit of Boston.
