Plymouth Rock is looking to hire a functional financial applications support professional who aspires to establish a track record of automating processes and building efficiencies.  This person will report to the company’s Manager - Financial Systems and Process and will support actuals and forecasting processes/applications.  Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to): 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Assist with the maintenance and management of daily operational support tasks (data element maintenance, validation reports, troubleshooting, logging/tracking issues, etc.)
  • Provide ongoing technical support and maintenance for enterprise-wide financial applications, primarily Workday Financials and Adaptive Planning
  • Deliver training and support to drive user adoption of standard Workday business processes and best practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify/analyze functional gaps and develop requirements documentation
  • Identify and analyze business needs and requirements to translate requirements into Workday appropriate terminology and functionality; coordinate meetings and discussions of project-related activities with the business & IT
  • Design test plans and execute at the Development, QA, UAT and post implementation phases; validate data quality against business requirements.
  • Manage multiple projects/deliverables simultaneously while developing strong relationships with both internal and external business partners
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external business partners, enabled through effective communications and timely delivery of projects
  • Collect and analyze feedback to improve processes, products, and services that optimizes our Workday instance in addition to Inbound/Outbound integration points

Qualifications and Education

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Strong finance and accounting knowledge.
  • Experience with insurance industry a plus.
  • Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products specifically Excel and SQL.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solid analytical, problem solving and financial troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills in a project-based environment.
  • Business processes, configuration, integrations, reporting, security and product support.
  • Digital transformation coursework or prior experience in a digital workforce environment
  • ERP (Workday preferred, but Oracle or SAP experience is a plus)
  • Forecasting applications (Adaptive Planning preferred)
  • Continuous learning, curiosity mindset, efficiency mindset, has a position on STEAM/STEM
