Principal UX Designer

 

We are seeking a talented and experienced Principal UX Designer to join our Digital Engagement Team and help drive constant improvement in our digital experiences.

 

The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a passion for user experience, capable of strategizing and designing for UX initiatives, mentoring team members, and advocating for user-centered design practices across the organization. Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire our team by providing guidance, mentorship, and support to foster growth and excellence in UX design.
  • Design and optimize digital experiences, ensuring seamless and engaging interactions across various devices and platforms.
  • Utilize design thinking methodologies to ideate, prototype, and iterate on solutions that address user pain points and deliver value.
  • Leverage human-centered design principles throughout the organization, promoting a culture of empathy, creativity, and innovation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, developers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into intuitive and impactful user experiences.
  • Simplify complex workflows and processes into intuitive customer journeys, enhancing usability and satisfaction.
  • Leverage AI-driven solutions to enhance user experiences and streamline processes, staying at the forefront of technological innovation in UX design.
  • Utilize a combination of analytical tools, project management experience, and time management skills to maintain a UX backlog and prioritize work effectively. 

 

Qualifications and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field.
  • Experience successfully managing UX designers with a strong portfolio showcasing successful projects and UI designs for both mobile app and web experiences.
  • Expert in design thinking methodologies and user-centered design principles, with a deep understanding of UX best practices.
  • Proficiency in conducting user research, usability testing, and competitive insights to inform design decisions.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for creating intuitive and impactful user experiences.
  • Experience designing solutions that leverage AI technologies, including chat bot implementations.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies is preferred.
  • Previous insurance industry experience is a plus.
