Solution Architect, RPA

 

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to join our team. As a Solution Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining cutting-edge solutions. You will need to have expertise in Java, J2EE, Spring, Angular, AWS, and Kubernetes. Experience with RPA and UiPath is preferred but not required.

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with application development teams to understand business requirements and design innovative solutions using UiPath, Java, J2EE, Spring, Angular, AWS, serverless lambda.
  • Develop architectural designs and provide technical guidance throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Implement best practices and standards for software development, ensuring scalability, security, and performance of solutions.
  • Analyze and improve the technical architecture of processes before automation.
  • Work with the Business Analyst and the Automation Developers to sign off on the business automation and technical requirements.
  • Design automation solutions using UiPath and other relevant technologies and document them in the relevant documents (e.g., Solution Design Document).
  • Oversee the development of the automation projects and components according to the solution design and requirements.
  • Oversee the testing, deployment, hypercare, and monitoring stages.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and architectural principles.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, testers, and project managers to deliver high-quality solutions on time and within budget.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in technology, recommending new tools and frameworks to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  • Research, analyze, design, propose, and deliver solutions aligned with business and technology strategies.
  • Conceive solutions, build consensus, and execute hands-on development tasks when necessary.
  • Participate in all aspects of the project life cycle, from kickoff through requirement analysis, design, and implementation.
  • Participate in multiple project teams, contributing value through technology, solution design, quality reviews, and adherence to guidelines.
  • Focus on strategies for creating value across products, distribution channels, agency interfaces, and customer interfaces.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Architect to research industry trends and directions, recommending new methodologies, technologies, and platforms.
  • Support the selection of tools and components for IT projects, providing input on options, risks, cost vs. benefits, and impacts on processes.
  • Analyze the current architecture to identify weaknesses and opportunities for improvements, such as capacity expansion, predictability, cost reduction, and increased effectiveness.

 

Qualifications and Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Solution Architect or similar role, with a strong background in Java, J2EE, Spring, Angular, AWS, serverless lambda, and RPA (UiPath).
  • In-depth knowledge of software design principles, patterns, and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS (Amazon Web Services) including serverless lambda functions.
  • Experience in designing and implementing RPA solutions using UiPath or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and containerization technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients and internal teams.
  • Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, UiPath RPA Developer) are a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically to address complex technical challenges.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in technology architecture (10-15 years in the technology field).
  • Strong J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, and SOA experience required.
  • Property & Casualty experience is a plus.
  • Application integration experience is necessary.
  • EAP, WebSphere, and Tomcat experience.
  • Knowledge of the Drools rules engine.
  • Policy, Claims, and billing experience is beneficial.
  • Publishing Systems experience is an advantage.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
  • Good understanding of security standards.
  • Experience with Database Architecture is a plus.
  • Familiarity with web content management, document management, and collaboration tools.
  • Significant business knowledge and expertise in areas such as network, security, applications and systems software, data, and the Internet.
